Тот, кто способен вынести и выразить бессмысленность, показывает, что он уже переживает встречу со смыслом в своей пустыне бессмысленности. Церковь тоже принадлежит миру и подлежит суду, которым она судит этот мир. Церковь, которая пытается исключить себя из такого суда, теряет право судить мир и справедливо осуждается миром. Власти заинтересованы в деятельности церкви как в способе удовлетворения психологических нужд, которые иначе могли бы представлять опасность для политической структуры.
